Like to 'scape

It's nice to be done with tests and all that for the summer. So, yesterday was gorgeous and I wanted to do a little project in the backyard; I think it turned out okay. There's always another project on the horizon. All told, this one took two and a half hours, including 1 trip for another 4 x 4.

Nearing the end

I have two more tests to take next week and I am officially done until fall. That is fairly exciting, as I'll only have 3 classes left to complete in the MBA program. This semester I have been taking a Human Resource Management and a Macroeconomics class. Surprisingly, the HRM course has been quite difficult, I assumed I'd get an easy 'A', I need a 95% on my final to achieve that, I don't think it'll happen. The economics course is touted as the most difficult in the program and it has held true. After 2/3 of the course completed, nearly 25% of the students were receiving a 'D' or worse, consequently, most of them dropped the class. I need a 60% on my final to keep a 'B' average, so I should be safe.

I'll take two next fall, Marketing and Operations, with a Strategy course in the spring to finish up my schooling. I can't wait!

Shop Update

There are literally dozens of small things that I want to do yet, but for the most part it is finished. It was a lot of work, but well worth the effort. Thanks to John, Erik, and my brother Mike in helping me out.

The view out the side door. Anyone on Nicole's side recognize the loghouse feeder?

Joys of working at a zoo

Nicole has the pleasure of feeding the baby Russian Red Tree Squirrels this weekend. There are three of them in need of a feeding every 4 hours. They are pretty cute; the cats don't know what to think of them. Right now they are fairly slow when moving around, that should change within another week or so.

Cool, we think we saw something move!

Kochka, working for her milk. 3 or 4 paws worth is all she gets. No, the glass didn't tip.

Koyuk (Dakota) Update

Well, we emiled Koyuk's new owner about how the puppy is doing. He's doing great! First of all, his new name is Dakota and secondly, he is now a member of a large pack. The most exciting thing for Dakota is that the pack is in training for dog sled races, we think that's pretty neat. Additionally, they tell us that Dakota is a very good listener and a strong puller. It doesn't surprise us much because his father was massive. Enjoy the pics, we sure did.

Dakota and Suki taking a nice winter run. Now that looks fun.
