Rug

After much debate and tribulation... our rug! (Kitten not included, that was extra.)

First official project

Finally, my first official project that utilized the wood shop. Maybe a cheesy way to start, but its the trim around the opening to the kitchen. I must have made 30 trips back and forth to complete all the cuts. The chair and side table are earlier projects that I made at my parents shop.

Paint

Here's what we were up to the end of February and early March. The west wall was painted "Midnight Dream", (Navy Blue) and the others are called "Saddlewood", (Tan). It is always surprising how much difference a coat of paint can make on a room. We have a few details left to finish, but is pretty much done.

Kudo's to Nicole

I had to mention that Nicole has been designated the lead keeper for the new wolf exhibit at the zoo. The zoo is hoping to have their critters in place some time this summer. (We'll truly believe it when we see it.) We look forward to bottle feeding pups at home from time to time at home, it should prove to be an experience. She was pretty excited and thought I'd pass it along.

Bluefinbay - 2 months ago already.

As many of you already know... we've spent the past 3 years at Bluefin Bay along the north shore of Lake Superior. Here's a shot of the group on our 1 and only full group hike. If I remember right, we are along the Temperance River.
