Updates at home

Well, we decided to paint for our first time in the house. It was kind of exciting to see the transformation from the old to the new. My wife picked out the colors, she did a great job. The intention is to be kind of an older styled "antique" room. The two picture below are before and after. The color on two walls is a darker purple, with the remaining 2 walls a much lighter shade. At the last minute we decided to pull up the carpet in the room as well. Fortunately it came up fairly easy and the wood was in great condition. Thanks to a bunch of our friends that helped paint!

Closer yet...

Well, most of the major items are finished. A few things yet to install are the countertops and trim around windows and doors. It has been a fun project, hopefully we'll be able to start making stuff in another week or so. We have some long overdue bedroom furniture that I'd like to begin.
