Graduation

Finally, some graduation pictures. It is great to be done, who knows if this will be the last though. I have an inkling to take an exam to become a certified financial planner, which will mean a lot more study. We'll see if that goes anywhere.

Getting ready to shake President Chapman's hand.

Back at home the following day.

I still got it.

It is a little sad, but my old high school suit coat must go... I think it is still a winner, but wifey thinks it is a little tight, whatever. A 42 frame in a 37 suit reminds me of a Chris Farley skit, or was that in a movie? That's right, you know the words.

Fat guy in a little suit...

Sweet Hat, Bronco style

Anybody need a hat to wear around town? We're having a garage sale and my mom brought down a hat to sell, currently asking 50 cents... any takers?

More training

Nicole was up in Ely this past week again for additional wolf training. Judging by the smile on her face I'm guessing she had a good time. So far the Red River Zoo has been unable to procure wolves; this is primarily due to an unusually poor birth rate from a number of places they were hoping to get their pups from. Bummer, but there still is a chance from a couple places in Canada yet.

Squirrel time again

It's that time of year again. We've had the opportunity to help out one of the other keepers at the zoo who was taking a small vacation the past few days. The little guy below has just opened up his eyes. The unique things about these squirrels is that they are Russian Red Tree Squirrels. The Red River Zoo is one of the few in the US to have these. They are pretty cute with their huge tufts of hair on their ears, plus they have a red coat in summer changng to a gray coat in the winter.

Nicole was weighing this little guy to track its weight gain and determine the amount to feed. Notice the candle warmer used to warm up their meal.
