Paint!

We're getting closer. Thanks to my wife for the wonderful job painting the ceiling. She did a great job. Notice the guns on her, not too bad. Two coats of primer applied and 1 coat of paint should to it. Next step is to install the cabinets.

NDSU Memorial Union

I thought I'd post a picture or two of the almost completed (updated) Union. Picture yourself meeting some friends after class... tell them, I'll meet you on the couches next to the fire place. Do you remember that spot? Well, here it is now.

Yep, same old fireplace, maybe cleaned up a little bit, but now there is a stairways leading down. On the other side of the far wall is a new coffee shop. Now... imagine what it might look like leading down the stairs. If the basement was same as we remember, you'd be staring right at Subway at the bottom of the stairs.

Around the corner to the right is the relocated UDC and straight ahead is the food court. Along the left side there are five locations for vendors, currently Burger Time, Taco Bell, Marketplace Grill, Virgo's Pizza, and a Chinese place.

Kittens

We felt it was time to introduce our cats. The black one is name Kochka, which means "cat" in Russian. The white cat is named Cica, which means "kitten" in Hungarian. Cica enjoys licking Kochka whenever possible; it usually escalates and tempers flare, then chasing begins. It's pretty funny to watch.

Getting closer

Congratulations to John and Sara for guessing correctly. Yep, it's sanding dust from joint compound. First coat of paint should go up tonight. Notice the nice dusty haze, it really puts your nose hair to the test.

New Years, 2007

Hi again, thought we'd share a few pictures of our mini vacation this past January. We went over to the North Shore of Lake Superior with 2 other couples and spent some time at Bluefin Bay. The weather was nice, rooms were great, food was awesome, and relaxation was terrific. Enjoy the pictures.
