Updated front yard picture

Well, I thought it was time I updated our landscaping efforts from this past summer. You'll notice lots of woodchips, reduced turf area, more perennial plants, and one small tree. It's the beginnings of a butterfly garden. It's hard to tell, but we have a small dry creek bed starting at the base of the evergreen and extending towards the grass. When it rains it'll fill up with water; hopefully it'll stay moist for a least a few days afterwards so the flutterbys can use their proboscus (snouts) to suck up water and minerals. The most time consuming aspect of the work was removing the rock that was along the foundation. Down with rock!

Down with rock is correct! I hate landscaping rock!

Looks great. Can't wait to see it this weekend.

I would have to agree on the rock...it looks nice, but it is a pain in the butt to move. Especially multiple times...don't ask.
